Uncle and nephew beat a young man with sticks for a piece of land in Kakraua Majra Malehra of Sandila Kotwali area. The injured youth died while being taken to Lucknow. The police have taken the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary. On the complaint of the victim, a report has been registered against the uncle and two cousins.

Surendra (45), resident of Kakraua village, used to do farming. He was at home on Thursday morning. Surendra had a dispute with his cousins Virendra, Vineet and uncle Shriram over just 64 square feet of land. On Wednesday morning, the accused came to the spot and started uprooting Surendra’s peg installed on the disputed land. When Virendra protested against this, all three attacked him with sticks. Surendra was seriously injured in the attack.
The family took him to the Community Health Center, Sandila. After first aid here, his condition was declared serious and he was referred to Lucknow. The family members were taking him to Lucknow, but he died on the way. The family members who returned home with the dead body informed the police. Kotwal Anand Narayan Tripathi said that a complaint about the incident has been received. The body has been sent for post-mortem. A case of culpable homicide will be registered.
There was a dispute ten days ago also
There was a dispute between Surendra and his uncle Shriram ten days ago regarding possession of the land. The matter had reached the police station. The police made both the parties understand and effected a reconciliation. The dispute broke out again on Thursday morning and Surendra died in the incident.
